91Ƭ’s Medical Assistant program prepares students to obtain the required credentials to be employed/practice in the state of Wisconsin. Federal regulations state that institutions may not enroll students who intend to practice in states in which our curriculum does not meet their requirements for preparation, examination, or licensure. If you intend to work outside of Wisconsin, please work with your academic counselor to determine if 91Ƭ’s curriculum and/or Wisconsin’s credentials will suffice for the state you intend to practice in.

Perform administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Responsibilities may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing and coding, taking vital signs, recording medical histories, preparing patients for examinations, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed.

Prepare, sterilize, install, and clean laboratory or healthcare equipment. May perform routine laboratory tasks and inspect or operate medical equipment.

Draw blood for laboratory testing, transfusions, donations, or research. May explain procedures to patients and assist individuals who experience adverse reactions.

Some of 91Ƭ’s programs may reach program capacity due to high demand. When this occurs, the College will follow the Admissions Procedure to establish and maintain a waitlist to prioritize enrollment. In addition, some programs may offer a petition process outlined in their specific program handbook.
