91Ƭ's Nursing Assistant program courses prepare students to obtain state certification to be employed/practice in the state of Wisconsin. Federal regulations state that institutions may not enroll students who intend to practice in states where our curriculum does not meet requirements for preparation, examination, or licensure. If you intend to work outside Wisconsin, please consult with your academic counselor to determine whether 91Ƭ's curriculum and/or Wisconsin credentials meet the requirements of the state where you intend to practice.

Assist individuals with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, mobility, and housekeeping. May provide health-related support and companionship in home or community-based settings.

Provide or assist with basic patient care under the direction of licensed nursing staff. Duties may include monitoring health status, feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and assisting with mobility. Includes nursing aides, attendants, and care assistants.

Transport patients to treatment, examination, and procedure areas using wheelchairs, stretchers, or hospital beds. May maintain supplies and assist with cleaning and transporting equipment.

Assist individuals with mental health or emotional disorders under the direction of nursing and medical staff. May support daily living activities, supervise recreational programs, accompany patients to treatments, and assist in maintaining a safe environment.
