91Ƭ’s Criminal Justice-Law Enforcement program prepares students to obtain the required licensure to be employed/practice in the state of Wisconsin. Federal regulations state that institutions may not enroll students who intend to practice in states where our curriculum does not meet requirements for preparation, examination, or licensure. If you intend to work outside Wisconsin, please work with your academic counselor to determine whether 91Ƭ’s curriculum and/or Wisconsin credentials meet the requirements of the state where you intend to practice.

Guard inmates in correctional and rehabilitative institutions in accordance with established regulations and procedures. May supervise prisoners in transit between facilities, courtrooms, and other locations. Includes deputy sheriffs and police officers whose primary duties involve correctional supervision.

Conduct investigations involving suspected violations of federal, state, or local laws. Gather evidence, interview witnesses, prepare reports, and work to prevent and solve criminal cases.

Enforce fish, wildlife, and boating laws. Patrol assigned areas, investigate wildlife-related incidents, protect natural resources, and collect biological and environmental data.

Maintain public safety and protect life and property by enforcing local, tribal, state, and federal laws. Duties may include patrolling assigned areas, directing traffic, investigating accidents, responding to emergencies, serving legal documents, and apprehending suspects.
